The Management/Compliance Accountant will play a key role in supporting the financial governance, reporting, and compliance functions of the hospital. This post will provide expert financial analysis, reporting, and assurance to ensure compliance with HSE, Department of Health, and external audit requirements. The role will also support decision-making through high-quality management information and contribute to the overall efficiency and financial sustainability of the hospital. |

Selection Criteria:
Selection criteria outline the qualifications, skills, knowledge and/or experience that the successful candidate would need to demonstrate for successful discharge of the responsibilities of the post. Applications will be assessed on the basis of how well candidates satisfy these criteria.

Essential: · Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent). · Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in a management or compliance accounting role. · Strong understanding of public sector financial governance and controls. · Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
Desirable: · Experience in a healthcare, public sector, or large teaching hospital environment. · Familiarity with HSE/DOH reporting, ABF, and national audit requirements. · Experience with SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems.
Key Skills and Competencies: · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. · High attention to detail and accuracy. · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. · Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. · Strong IT skills including advanced Excel and financial modelling. · Ability to influence and work collaboratively across functions.
